Baby Goes to Market fun at Hornsey Library and the children of St Mary’s School, Nov 2017

We had a lovely time at Hornsey Library reading Baby Goes to Market with children from St Mary’s School N8!

They were so well behaved and brilliant at answering questions and joining in. After reading the story on the big projector, the children tried balancing bowls and baskets on their heads or wrapping themselves in my African fabric. We looked at the African map and some children told me all about their African relatives. It was wonderful to see the children enjoying playing at being Mama with their baby (a teddy) on their backs and a bowl full of shopping!

The children had a wonderful time and really enjoyed listening to you.  As staff I wanted to tell you how much we appreciated the time and effort you put into your talk.  The activities were well thought out and engaged all the children regardless of ability.  We came back to school and told anyone who would listen how wonderful you were.  Thank you for making our visit to Hornsey Library so inspiring.
